Here’s a pressing that deserves more attention from McCartney collectors – the Canadian Capitol release of Wings Greatest from 1978. While this compilation might seem like standard fare at first glance, it actually captures Wings at their commercial peak, featuring essential tracks like “Silly Love Songs,” “Let ‘Em In,” and “Maybe I’m Amazed” alongside deeper cuts that showcase Paul’s post-Beatles songwriting evolution. What makes this particularly interesting is the timing – released just as Wings was beginning to wind down, it serves as both a victory lap and a retrospective of one of the most successful bands of the mid-70s.
