In 1966, growing up in Panama, I heard for the first time a Brazilian vocal group named Jongo Trio. From that moment on, my desire to record with a similar ensemble grew until finally, after 56 years, it has become a reality. My respect and love for Boca Livre represents my feelings for all the music and performers from Brazil I have enjoyed all these past decades. They educated and thrilled me. To have recorded, worked and toured with Boca Livre continues to be one of the highlights of my career as a singer-composer. We hope you like this record as much as we relished the chance to make it happen. PASIEROS (PARCEIROS) describes our love, joy and respect for each other, for all music and for all people. We express these emotions through the songs of this album, and we share them with you, with affection.
