Here’s a pressing that doesn’t surface nearly often enough – Nicolette Larson’s self-titled debut on Warner Bros. from 1978, and this particular Canadian pressing is becoming increasingly sought after by collectors who know their late 70s pop-rock. Larson was already making waves in Nashville and Los Angeles session circles before this album dropped, having lent her distinctive harmonies to Neil Young’s “Comes a Time” sessions and toured with him extensively. That connection proved golden when her cover of Young’s “Lotta Love” became a massive hit, reaching #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and essentially launching her solo career into the stratosphere.
