With 101 Atomic Terms and What They Mean, the newly formed Mangene (ex-Oxbow) release their debut on the Basel boutique label A Tree in a Field Records. The album, a vinyl LP, is a melange of electronica, synth-pop, spoken word, and avant-garde.

Although Mangene may not yet be on the radar of critics and fans as a project, composer Manuel Liebeskind and lyricist and vocalist Eugene S. Robinson are far from newcomers to the scene. They have made their names in musical behemoths like Oxbow, Bunuel, and 16-17, and have collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Barry Adamson, Peter Brtzmann, Lydia Lunch, Marianne Faithfull, Marian Gold, Jaki Liebezeit, and Melt-Banana.
