Aled Jones is the 1985 debut album from Welsh treble Aled Jones, released on Virgin Records and featuring the BBC Welsh Chorus conducted by Huw Tregelles Williams, with organ accompaniment from John Hugh Thomas. The record collects sacred and traditional choral pieces performed by Jones, who became widely known in the mid-1980s for his clear, unaffected boy soprano voice. It includes his well-known recording of “Walking in the Air,” the theme from the animated film The Snowman, which brought him considerable mainstream attention at the time.
