From the four revolutionary stage plays ‘A Excepo e a Regra’, ‘Guerras do Alecrim e Manjerona’, ‘Z do Telhado’ and ‘Barracas Ocupao’ we find Jos Afonso writing songs and composing new material – twelve tracks in two albums – for theatre plays included on his albums Enquanto H Fora (1978) and Fura Fura (1979). The themes of oppression, corruption, revolutionary social justice and egalitarian utopia remain ever-relevant in today’s world, witnessing the re-mastered re-issues of these classic albums – CD, LP and digital releases mastered by Florian Siller at Soundgarden Hamburg.
