Here’s a Canadian pressing of Peter Frampton’s monster live album that essentially invented the modern arena rock template. Recorded across multiple nights at Winterland in San Francisco and the Plattsburgh State University fieldhouse in New York during the summer of ’75, this double LP captured Frampton at his absolute peak, transforming him from a respected session player and former Humble Pie member into one of the decade’s biggest stars. The album spent 10 weeks at number one and became the best-selling live album of all time until MTV Unplugged started changing the game in the ’90s. Those talk box solos on “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way” weren’t just gimmicks they were revolutionary uses of technology that influenced everyone from Joe Walsh to Bon Jovi.
