TWILIGHT OF THE GODS – BATHORY’s sixth release – without ever getting pretentious, is their most introvert and led-footed album. It is honest in it’s every bombastic phase yet may seem too polished and arranged for the more speed freak minded BATHORY fans. It is nevertheless considered an important testament and a true original by the many fans and acts that took it to heart and labelled it’s operatic style as true Richard Wagner-metal. The title track, “Twilight of The Gods”, and the emotional “Bond of Blood” captures the essence of this album. Wotan lives ! Recorded in April 1991. Released in June 1991.
