Recording sessions forLoosetook place from 2005 to 2006.Timbalandand his protgDanjaproduced the bulk of the album, primarily apopalbum which incorporates influences ofdance,R&B,hip hop,latin pop,synth-pop,reggaeton,new wave,funk, andMiddle Eastern music. Lyrically, it explores the theme offemale sexualityand has been described as introspective.
